31 Confessions for a Transformed Life

31 Confessions for a Transformed Life

“…Never stop reciting these teachings. You must think about them night and day so that you will faithfully do everything written in them. Only then will you prosper and succeed.”
Jos 1:8

“Blessed is the person who does not follow the advice of wicked people, take the path of sinners, or join the company of mockers. Rather, he delights in the teachings of the Lord and reflects on his teachings day and night.”
Ps 1:1,2

Meditate each day on the Scripture

The words “reciting” and “reflects on” comes from the word meditate. Meditating is mention in the Bible 20 times and the Hebrew word for meditate is “haga“, from the root word haggis. It means to use knowledge and imagination to create, form a picture. It also must include muttering which means to speak quietly and in a low voice that is not easy to hear. So when you meditate in God’s Word, you are literally seeing in your mind and speaking out the truth of what you are seeing.
